Every directory surfaces the winners. We surface the contenders. The apps at 50 users while the maker is still sleeping with their laptop. The rough edges that make something feel real. The projects that might be nothing — or might be everything.
Our ranking algorithm rewards freshness and engagement velocity over raw traffic. An app posted today with 3 upvotes can outrank an established app with 80. That's the whole point.
When you leave a comment on an app, the maker gets a ping. When the maker replies, they get a verified badge. This isn't a showcase — it's a conversation. The people building these things are here, listening, iterating.
Built with Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Cursor, Claude Code, hand-coded — doesn't matter. Every listing is health-checked every 6 hours. Dead apps get flagged. Boosted apps are labeled as boosted. Featured apps are always clearly above the organic feed, never in it.
The meritocratic rising feed is the entire product. We'd rather shut down than let money corrupt it.
Platforms that pay testers cash get template answers from people optimizing for speed-to-payment. We use credits — earned by giving quality feedback, redeemable for Pro, Boosts, and Featured slots. Money flows inside the ecosystem, not out of it.
Your existing audience is the two sides of a beta marketplace. Makers submit apps — they want testers. Discovery users browse — they're early-adopter curious. The Bench activates the audience you already have.
